Our furnace died on the coldest night of the year. I called at 7am, a tech was in the driveway by 10, and the house was warm again before the kids got home from school. He showed me the cracked igniter and the price was exactly what they quoted on the phone.
Two other companies wanted to sell us a bigger AC. Equinox did an actual load calculation and put in a smaller unit that runs quieter and keeps the upstairs cooler.

Should I repair my system or replace it?
A rough rule: if the system is over 15 years old, or the repair costs more than a third of a new system, replacement usually pays off. Our techs will give you both prices and tell you honestly which one they would pick in your house.
Do you charge more for nights and weekends?
Daytime and weekend visits cost the same. Calls after 9pm carry a flat after-hours fee, which we tell you on the phone before we send anyone. Comfort Club members never pay it.
How much does a new furnace or AC cost?
It depends on the size of your home, the equipment, and any duct work. The estimate is free, and you get three written options with fixed prices, so you know the full cost before you decide.
What does the Comfort Club include?
Two tune-ups a year (AC in spring, furnace in fall), priority scheduling, 15% off repairs, and no after-hours fees. It costs $17 a month or $189 a year, and you can cancel anytime.
Do you work on every brand?
Yes. Our trucks carry common parts for all major furnace, heat pump, and AC brands, and we can order anything else, usually for next-day delivery.
How often should I change my filter?
Every one to three months for a standard 1-inch filter, more often with pets or during heavy use. Thicker media filters can last six months or more. We’ll check it on every visit.
